electronic engineering – “Creating technical solutions for a changing world”
As Royal Holloway’s youngest department, Electronic Engineering is dedicated to creating a bright future for our electronics engineering community. Electronic engineering products are all around us in our daily lives, creating demand for excellent engineers with a creative passion for putting technology to work for humanity.
We are based in a new state-of-the-art £20m building”Beatrice’s shilling‘, bringing together a growing community of staff and students, an expanding portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and research groups interested in exciting future technologies. Our staff bring their research expertise to their teaching, and our curriculum builds on our excellent industry links, ensuring that our degree courses are designed to meet market needs and that our graduates are highly employable.
We are currently recruiting an academic staff member who will lead our distance learning (DL) programs in project management. The successful candidate must hold a doctorate or equivalent, and will have a proven educational and administrative record, with a broad knowledge of project and program management. Experience working with industry and contributing to outreach activities will also be valuable.
The appointee will primarily focus on leading our distance learning programs, but may also be asked to contribute to a range of departmental activities, including primarily postgraduate teaching and overseeing projects across a range of project management topics, sustainability project management, and software development project management.
This is a full-time, permanent (tenured) position, available from April 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position will be based in London but will make occasional travel to the main RHUL campus in Egham, Surrey, within commuting distance of London.
