Federal advisory partnersa Windwise Capital holding company, has purchased Universal Consulting Services for an undisclosed sum to further expand its customer base and digital service capabilities in support of federal market customers.
“As the demand for modernization and digital transformation accelerates across the federal sector, the need for advanced technologies and efficient operating models becomes increasingly critical,” Tim BorcherCEO of Federal Advisory Partners, said in a statement released Wednesday.
Borchert added that the acquisition of UCS will enable federal advisory partners to advance innovation and help federal customers accelerate modernization to achieve mission readiness and improve efficiency.
Established in 2000, UCS provides enterprise information technology and health care services to the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies. The company’s capabilities include systems engineering, information assurance, application development, security compliance and consulting services.
UCS CEO Abhijit Dhumne said the transaction expands the company’s talent pool and IT capabilities to support customer goals and missions.
Baker Tilly US and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman served as financial advisor and legal advisor to UCS, respectively. Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Morrison & Foerster advised Federal Advisory Partners on the legal aspect of the transaction.
The deal marks the second acquisition for Federal Advisory Partners, which acquired Favor TechConsulting in January.
