Asamani said the more awareness PMI could create, the better the chance of having a completed and well-defined project.

He said there was a need for awareness because project management is everywhere and everyone’s business.

According to him, some do it as a profession while others do it without knowing they are doing it, so this program will create that awareness.

seven ”This project management is everywhere and knowing it will help to get things done and do them very well.

”People are expected to be inspired to make more of an impact than has already been done.

People will be inspired when you talk about blockchain, Metaverse and other cutting-edge technologies,” he said.

ten Asamani said that in a continent of 1.1 billion people, 70% of whom are under the age of three, or about 780 million young people, children and young people are absolutely essential for the future.

According to him, what PMI is currently doing is partnering with certain educational institutions to teach students the latest technologies.

He said another example is the Non-Profit Youth Service where PMI partners with the Tony Elumelu Junior Achievement Foundation, whether in education or entrepreneurship.

Asamani said that PMI has chapters in 20 countries, adding that the professionals in the chapters are very loyal to their countries’ economy and projects.

He said that members of these chapters work in companies or on government projects thus contributing to the economy of their countries, so PMI supports them with trainings.

Project management is about getting things done from A to Z in the best possible way; the best possible way means that you run a course and do what you do within it.

PMI Nigeria Chapter President, Paul Omugbe, said that in Nigeria many projects could not be completed because those carrying them out were not project managers.

Omugbe said what the chapter was doing was pushing for more people to be project managers and engaging them in best practices.

He described project management as a life skill and not just a profession.

According to him, managing a project is more than building a structure or involving one in the physical planning.

Managing people and events is also project management, which is why we say project management is a life skill, he said.

Omugbe said that at the moment in Nigeria, there were as many as 3,000 project managers and there was a skills gap, pointing out that knowledge of project management would help scale up delivery. .

NOPE reports that the Project Management Institute is the world’s leading nonprofit professional association for project, program and portfolio management.
